LOADING SCREENS:

In keeping with many modern AAA-games, Dominion should no longer have loading screens when moving from exteriors to interiors. Overcoming this technical issue will add to the immersion of the game.

MENUS:

Pressing START in-game brings up a combined settings / journal / character menu. The player can trigger the following commands: Quick Save (X), Quick Load (SELECT), Cancel / Return to game (B, START), Quit Game (Y), Left / Right trigger: Moves between the following columns:

Inventory:

  • You can view items in a list or a grid with the bumper buttons. Your inventory goes round in a loop, so one tap up will show the item at the bottom of the list.

Magic:

  • You can assign spells to the shoulder buttons by pressing them when selecting a spell. You can also relegate old spells to a different tab by pressing X.

Quests:

  • Quests no longer uniformly point you to the exact destination. Some quest givers know precisely where the location is and will point this out on your map, but within that location the player will need to search. Others will give accurate directions up to a point, while others will only have a vague understanding of where the location is, and shall describe to the player as best they can. This will manifest on the map as an area circle.

Map:

  • The map can be toggled between paper map / visual map. Fast Travel by default is off, with exception to major settlements. Refer FAST TRAVEL. The territory owned by the Empire is also visible (refer Territory).

Perks:

  • Opens the perk screen, which shows your character's level, attributes and available perk points.

Stats:

  • Shows the health of the player's body parts, overall level, attributes and currently unlocked perks and feats. Other statistics, like how many creatures the player has killed or how many locks picked, are also visible.

Appendices:

  • Once the player reads or hears new information about the lore of Tamriel, it is noted in the Appendix or Bestiary for reference. The “Loremaster” Feat triggers the Deadric quest involving Hermaeus Mora and the Oghma Infinium.

  • The bestiary provides detailed information, such as strengths and weaknesses, about the enemy types of Tamriel as you encounter them or learn about them from books. You might learn from an old book that Trolls are weak to fire, and this will be noted in the bestiary.

System:

  • Save

  • Load

  • Settings

  • Controls

  • Customisation: The vanilla game is much more customisable from the menu, helping the player find their preferred game style. Such options include: Leveled enemies (on / only in dungeons / off), Leveled loot, Fatigue penalty, Poor sleep penalty, Fast travel (roads / locations / off), Online taverns, Steeds fleeing from combat, Desert damage, Essential companions, Birds eye / paper map. Trading on an item-by-item basis or wholesale, Darkness level of the night.

  • Help

  • Exit Game: By selecting this option, you will be asked: to Desktop (Y), To Main Menu (A), Cancel (B).
