The Elder Scrolls VI: Dominion is set in the land erstwhile known as Elsweyr, home to the Khajiit. It is a land of wonder, intrigue and treachery.
For decades, the Aldmeri Dominion bided their time. Their insidious influence grew from the South, as the Empire ailed from their attritive Civil War in Skyrim and their ostracising of the Redguards of Hammerfell.
Under the terms of the White-Gold Concordat, the Thalmor swept freely through the remaining Imperial provinces, executing all who worshipped the upstart Talos, scorching all texts that dared bear his name. The Empire finally achieved a Pyrrhic victory over the Stormcloaks and reinstated the terms of the Concordat upon Skyrim. Yet, the Dominion waited. Satisfied Talos had been erased from the mythic, and that the demesne of Man was at its most vulnerable, the Dominion invaded the Imperial Province via the northern borders of Valenwood and Anequina. And so began the Second Great War, which has raged for months.
As a fugitive, fate frees you to undertake a monumental duty to the Empire, who seek to reincarnate the Mane. They see the Mane as key to uniting the kingdoms of Anequina and Pelletine into a new Elsweyr Confederacy against the Dominion.
